The Postron Counterfeit Detector UV Lamp (UN170) is a compact and portable security solution designed to detect counterfeit ZAR currency and fraudulent identification documents. Using advanced tri-test technology, the device performs three quick and reliable authenticity checks: UV light detection, watermark backlighting, and paper validation using a counterfeit detection pen (pen sold separately).

This versatile unit uses UV LED light to highlight embedded security threads on South African Rand notes of R10 and higher, while the white backlight exposes micro-printing and watermark portraits.
