Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using www.crowninnhotel.co.za (the “Site”) or any service offered by Ruby Africa Investments (Pty) Ltd t/a Crown Inn Hotel (“we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Definitions
- “Guest” – any person who makes a booking or purchases a service via the Site.
- “Booking” – any reservation for accommodation, shuttle, conference or add-on accepted by us.
- “Site Content” – all text, images, rates, availability calendars and other material published on the Site.
3. Booking & Payment
3.1 Quoted rates are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Pay-on-arrival: no deposit is charged now; full settlement is due at check-in by cash or card.
3.3 Valid credit card details may be required to guarantee the booking; we may pre-authorize the first night.
3.4 Minimum age of the lead guest is 18 years.
4. Cancellation & No-Show
4.1 Free cancellation until 18:00 (local time) 1 day before arrival.
4.2 Late cancellation or no-show – we will charge the first night to the card supplied.
4.3 Group bookings (5+ rooms) require 7 days’ notice; shorter notice will incur a 100 % charge.
5. Check-in / Check-out
- Check-in: 14:00 – 22:00
- Check-out: 06:00 – 10:00
- Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may carry an additional fee.
6. Guest Conduct & Damages
6.1 Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. A R 1 500 cleaning fee will be levied for smoking in rooms.
6.2 Guests are liable for any loss or damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay.
7. Parking & Shuttle
7.1 Parking is provided on a first-come-first-served basis at no extra cost. Vehicles are left at the owner’s risk.
7.2 Free shuttle to OR Tambo runs every 30 min between 05:00-23:00 and must be booked at least 2 h in advance.
8. Privacy & POPIA Compliance
8.1 We collect only the personal data necessary to process your booking and meet legal obligations.
8.2 By submitting your details you consent to us contacting you about this reservation and future promotions (opt-out any time).

9. Liability
9.1 Maximum liability for any cause whatsoever shall not exceed the total amount paid by the guest for the booking.
9.2 We are not liable for loss of valuables left in rooms or vehicles; safe-deposit facilities are available at reception.
10. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including load-shedding, strikes, pandemics or government travel bans.
11. Intellectual Property
All Site Content is © Ruby Africa Investments (Pty) Ltd. You may view or print pages for personal, non-commercial use only.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute must first be addressed through our internal complaint's procedure; if unresolved, it will be submitted to the Magistrate’s Court having jurisdiction in Johannesburg.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on this page. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
